My name is Jack Jordan, I am a hardworking idealist that is constantly focused on bettering myself and promoting and gaining success in everything I do. Whether it is my efforts in scholastics or my involvement in extracurricular activities, I am focused on continually expanding my knowledge and reaching my subsequent goals. I am currently a junior at the University of Houston, majoring in economics and minoring in finance. Once I complete undergrad, I look to attend law school and become a transactional lawyer at a top tier big law firm. My interest was initially peaked through the work I was subject to during my summer 2019 internship at Baker Donelson. I did various things during my tenure as a Baker Donelson intern, these duties ranging from helping them in the due diligence process of an acquisition, to conducting research for disputes regarding oil, gas & mineral rights. I also am starting the Corporate & Transactional Law Undergraduate Society, the mission of this organization is to peak students interests in this field as well as fostering those same interests through helping students gain an understanding of the field as well as presenting them with opportunities to meet professionals who practice transactional & corporate law as well as like minded students. I am also a member of Kappa Sigma.
Why am I running?
I am running for this position for real time experience in a political like realm as well as doing anything in my power that will make the University of Houston a better place than it was when I first began my journey at this wonderful university.
