Lauren Chedotal is diligent and dedicated, continuously striving to give every task she’s been handed her 100% effort and attention. Lauren is currently a Junior at the University of Houston; She is a student at the Jack J. Valenti School of Communication and is majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in Political Science. Lauren’s future career goals are to become a Political Journalist, and eventually become a News Anchor for the Today Show, or Fox News in New York City. In pursuit of her future career goals, Lauren is interning this semester at Fox 26 News in Houston. In addition to her internship, Lauren is also a field reporter for CoogTV at the University of Houston, where she has had the opportunity to report and conduct interviews at many of the University of Houston’s home sporting events. CoogTV has additionally given her the opportunity to interview prominent Houstonians, such as Mayor Sylvester Turner, Alex Bregman, and Lainie Fritz from KPRC. Furthermore, Lauren is on the executive council of her sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha. She currently serves as House Manager, and has previously served as Assistant Vice President II and Philanthropy Event Chairman. Lauren believes her positions with Zeta Tau Alpha and CoogTV have molded and enhanced her leadership abilities, as well as supported her time management and organizational skills allowing her to take an active role in serving her community.
